Debit card vs e-wallet withdrawals and the real timings

Get asked this a lot so thought I'd put a proper thread up rather than repeating myself in DMs.

Debit card withdrawals (Visa/Mastercard fast funds): once the casino approves, the money is supposed to hit within a couple of hours, but in practice I've seen anything from instant up to 3 working days depending on your bank. The casino approval step is usually the bottleneck, not the card.

E-wallets: once approved, near instant to a few hours. Genuinely the quickest route for most people on UKGC sites.

Open Banking is the newer one and it's been the fastest in my own testing, often under an hour.

Two things that slow everyone down regardless of method: incomplete KYC, and a pending/reversal window where your cashout sits for 24h before processing.

What are your actual real-world numbers? Drop method plus hours so we build a decent picture.

Good shout doing this properly.

My data, last 90 days, four UKGC sites:
E-wallet: median about 2 hours after approval, longest was overnight.
Debit card: median around a day, one outlier at nearly 3 days and that was a weekend.

The weekend thing matters. Bank rails don't really move Sat/Sun so a Friday night debit cashout can look slow when it's just the calendar. E-wallets don't care what day it is, which is why I default to them now.

All useful but I'd push back on the 'card is instant once approved' line slightly. Fast Funds only works if your issuing bank supports it, and not every UK debit card does. People assume it's universal and then wonder why theirs takes days.

Also worth checking: some sites cap e-wallet withdrawal amounts lower than card. Read the limits before you pick your method, not after.

e-wallet every time for me. card's a waste of time.

last debit cashout sat there two days then landed at 7am like nowt happened. ewallet same site, few hours, sorted. fair play to open banking though, not tried it but you lot keep banging on about it so might give it a go.
