  • small test deposit at a new offshore site, how it went

Thought I'd report back since I'm forever telling people to test small before trusting a new offshore site, only fair I do it myself.

New Curacao site, launched a couple of months back. Put a tenner in by card, no bonus, deliberately, wanted to test the cashout clean without wagering muddying it.

Played low stakes, drifted up to about £34. Requested £30 out, left a few quid in the account. They asked for KYC at that point, not before, which I don't love but it's common. Passport and a bank statement, approved next morning.

Money hit the card 50 hours after the request. Not instant, not terrible.

The catch I'll flag, the cashout terms had a £50 minimum withdrawal buried in them which my £30 was under. Support waived it once I queried but you can imagine that going the other way with a less responsive site. Offshore, no UKGC, so a chargeback isn't really your friend here either.

Go small first is the whole point. Anyone else doing the test deposit thing before committing?

Right, did a bit of a tour over the last three weeks or so. Stuck to the offshore sites in this board, small deposits only, just to see how the cashouts actually behave.

First one, Curacao licence, deposited £40 by card. Played some slots, ended up with £180. Withdrawal request went in on a Tuesday morning, money landed Thursday afternoon. Crypto option was instant but I wanted it back on the card. KYC was a passport photo and a bank statement, sorted in about an hour.

Second one was slower. Same sort of money, £30 in, won a bit, asked for £95 out. They sat on it four days then asked for a second utility bill. Got it eventually but felt like they were dragging it.

None of these are UKGC so if anything goes wrong you've no real recourse, just worth saying. I'm only ever risking what I'd not cry over.

Anyone else been testing these lately? Curious how the wagering held up for you, the first lot had 35x on the bonus which actually cleared.
  • Withdrawal held for documents, normal or red flag

After a sanity check from people who've been around longer than a few months.

Requested a £640 cashout on a UKGC site Tuesday, deposited and played with no bother beforehand. Now it's held pending and they've asked for ID, a utility bill and a card photo with the middle digits covered.

First time I've had a hold on this one. Money's just sat there in pending. Part of me thinks it's bog standard KYC and I'm being daft, the other part is twitchy because I've read horror stories about sites asking for endless docs to stall.

Is document verification on a first withdrawal normal, or should the alarm bells be ringing? I've sent everything they asked, photos were clear. How long's reasonable to wait before I start chasing or thinking about a complaint?
